Teen Line would like to thank Jackson Gurvitz for running in the Santa Clarita Marathon on Sunday, November 4, 2018 and for holding a personal GoFundMe fundraiser that benefits Teen Line. This year was Jackson’s third time running in the marathon and second time to hold a fundraiser for Teen Line. In 2017, Jackson raised over $13,000 for Teen Line and this year, he was committed to do more by raising the goal of $25,000.
Jackson runs in honor of his step-brother, Mackie, who died by suicide two years ago. Having experienced the loss of someone so close to him, Jackson runs in memory of Mackie so that he may never be forgotten.
Jackson is dedicated to raising suicide awareness and being a teen mental health advocate. He is currently in our Fall 2018 Training Program to become a Teen Line Listener.
Thank you Jackson for supporting our organization and shinning a light on teen mental health. You are inspirational and we are so proud to have you as a Teen Volunteer!
