Things To Do & Volunteering
“I really want to learn more about volunteer opportunities in my area so that I may be of help to my community.” – 16 year old
Most parks and beaches do not charge admission, though many charge for parking. Several museums have free admission one day a week. Listen to the taped messages for admission schedules and fees.
The LA Reader, LA Weekly and OC Weekly are FREE newspapers that list entertainment events each week. Many of these events are free! In Riverside, look for the Entertainment Review. Most music stores carry one or more papers; some markets and newsstands also carry them. Check them out!
Be adventurous, use the resources listed here to discover new things to do and learn! Call to explore what’s available through the organizations and agencies listed. Your city can be a great place to have fun!
