TEEN LINE saves lives. Simple.
It's a formula developed 3 decades ago by experts working with teenagers. A teenager in crisis needs someone to turn to. Most don't because they are afraid of being judged, being told what to do, or getting in trouble.
TEEN LINE listens. Simple.
More than 120 teenagers volunteer at TEEN LINE. They are complete months of training, learning how to listen. They don't give advice. They don't judge. TEEN LINE volunteers help teens in trouble come to their own solutions and solve their own problems. They armed with a multitude of resources specializing in nearly ever service through Southern California.
TEEN LINE innovates. Simple.
TEEN LINE answers phone calls. Yes, but our teen volunteers do a lot more. They respond to thousands of emails every year. They chat online with teens more comfortable with that format. The travel to schools and community groups and talk face to face.
You can help TEEN LINE. And it's simple.
Log into Facebook and visit the Chase Community Giving page. The first step is to "LIKE" the page. Then you can vote. Search for the "Center for the Study of Young People," that's TEEN LINE's full legal name. Then click the vote now button. And most importantly, tell ALL of your friends.
On the Chase Community Giving Page, click the "LIKE" button and then the "Chase Giving" tab.

Search for the "Center for the Study of Young People in Groups," that's TEEN LINE's legal name.
Then click "Vote Now". Put it on your wall. Tell all your friends.
Celebrating 30 Years of Service at TEEN LINE

In the spring of 1980, a group of professionals laid the groundwork for what would become TEEN LINE. Over the next three decades, more than 1,500 teens trained to become Listeners and answer the calls, emails, and online chats of more than 350,000 teens needing support, advice, or just someone to talk with. This year, the Annual Food for Thought luncheon is a celebration of that thirty year commitment.
Many joined us as we honored Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Lily Collins, and our remarkable Teen Listeners April 28th, 2010 at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
