anyone like movies based off books?

I finished reading The Stone Angel and I really liked it. The story line of the book is real good. I saw that vivendi entertainment made the book into a movie and I saw the trailer for it and it seems pretty good. I know the book is emotional and after seeing the trailer, looks like the casting for it is real good. it has ellen page and i thought she was awesome in Juno. here's the link to their trailer if anyone's interested in watching it www.thestoneangelmovie.com

AWH, that looks really cute.

but as for liking movies based off books.. NO I hate it more then anything.
Most of the time it completely ruins the book for me. They normally chop out all of the meaningful parts and cast stupid people to play the characters. Defying the whole point.

It's ridiculous. lol
