This year's luncheon theme is Self-image and Empowerment in recognition of the many young people who contact TEEN LINE that are struggling with issues relating to poor self-image.
TEEN LINE's teen listeners, whether it be on the phone, in an email or text, endeavor to assist their peers to become empowered to make positive changes in their lives, thus improving their self-image and self-esteem. Similarly, through their training experiences and participation in TEEN LINE our teen volunteers' self-images are also enhanced. As our teen volunteers gain confidence in their abilities on the hotline and outreach to the community.
