YOUR RIGHTS Even if you’re under 18, you DO have rights.

  • You have the right to always be safe. This means safety from being hurt by anyone.
  • You have the right to clean clothes, a clean bed, a safe place to live.
  • You have the right to see a doctor when you are sick and when you need a check-up.
  • You also have the right to see a dentist.
  • You have the right to go to school.

There is a program called the Children’s Rights Project (listed below) whose goal is to serve young people who are in need of legal representation. A few of the areas where they can provide you with legal services are: education, emancipation, government benefits, health care, immigration, and civil rights. You are eligible for assistance if you are under the age of 18.
