What you are going through sounds really tough. I admire your courage to want to help your friends out. Have you confronted your friend about his drug use? Who have you opened up to about this? Can you talk to your parents or a school counselor? You are so young and shouldn't deal with this on you own. Drugs can be really scary, but there are ways to cope and deal with drug abuse. You can try and ask your friend if he wants to go to a drug help meeting with you. It may make your friend more comfortable in going to a meeting if you offer to go with. Here are some suggestions for places to call.

You can call Alateen which is a 12 step program for teenagers with friends or know someone who abuses alchohol. The number is 1 (818) 760-7122.

Another place you can call is Narcotics Anonymous, which gives referals and has local meetings. The number is 1 (818) 773-9999.
