TEEN QUESTION/PROBLEM:
I'm 13 and 2 months pregnant. I told the father and he's afraid of responsibility so he bailed on me. I haven't told my mom and i no she'll beat me up if i do. I have no money so i know i can't get an abortion. I kinda wana keep the baby but i know i cant handle being a mother. What do i do????

This is really tough for you to be going through this. There are different ways you could do being pregnant: keeping the baby, adoption or abortion. Maybe some family member could raise the child too? It's okay to feel this way. It must be so overwhelming because you are so young.

I really encourage you to go to planned parenthood for anything involving pregancy: free termination of pregnancies, STDs (sexual transmitted diseases), and you could talk about your concerns with them in general. It's confidential and they won't call your parents to tell them, the number is 1-(800) 230-7526. STDs are a big thing that could happen when you have sexual intercourse with no protection and I highly recommend you get that checked out at Planned Parenthood too. I really hope you call planned parenthood.They will help you sort things out.

Do you really think that your mom would beat you up? Is there any family member or somebody else you could talk to? I think you could also try talking to a school counseler.
