TEEN QUESTION/PROBLEM:
I know i have a problem. Just recently i was supsended and recieved an MIP. I have tried to stop but it is almost impossible for me. I noticed my drinking became a problem when it wouldn't just be the weekends i would get drunk it would be at school during break or lunch than going to class hammered. I feel amazing when im drunk and i have a family history of alcoholism and i know the negative effects of abusing alcohol but sometimes i really dont care. I was wondering if anyone on here could help me find a group or classes towards the abuse of alcohol or addiction that are for youth in the Portland/ Lake oswego area in Oregon?

TEEN LINE WROTE:
Hey,
I am so glad you are taking this seriously. I am really happy you thought of TEEN LINE to give you a referral. It seems like a tough situation to be in, but to me, it seems like you know what you need to do, to get through it. This is a great first step. Lots of people go through alcohol abuse in their teen years. Have you tried talking to a friend, counselor, or a trusted adult? It seems to me, that you would benefit talking to someone about you and your family history with alcohol abuse. I hope you take advantage from these referrals and try to find someone to talk to about this situation.
