I am going to be 17 on november 12. i am really unhappy living at my moms house, and i cant go to my dads because him and his girlfriend are about to split up. my boyfriend is going to be 18 in a week and he lives with his parents. we both live in rockford illinois. is it legal for me to move out of my moms and go live with my boyfriend and his family without my mom agreeing? i have tried commiting suicide about a year ago because i was so depressed, so after that i moved to my dads, but his girlfriend kicked me out. i cant go back there. my boyfriends is the only place i can go. please help me!

Hi, It sounds like what your going through must be really upsetting. I would imagine it must be difficult to not feel comfortable in your own home. I can't answer if it is legal or not for you to move in with your boyfriend, but it might be worth doing some research. I also found one resource which is called Alliance for Children's Right and their number is 213-368-6010. They are located in California but maybe they can give you further referrals. Is there anyone you feel comfortable talking to about this, like a friend, school counselor or relative? I feel really worried about your previous suicide attempt. Have you sought out help to move past it? It seems like you have a good relationship to your boyfriend and I am happy to hear that you feel so comfortable being with him. TEEN QUESTION/PROBLEM:
Im from the U.K. and i couldn't find any sites for there so maybe you can help. Me and a friend have been through a lot together, we made a stupid mistake of trying to commit suicide because we were manipulated by some other people. We are now in a situation that we have to run away, there is no other option, but i can't say why. I need to know if there are any teenage shelters anywhere in the U.K. i would be so grateful if you could let me know what they are

I am 17 and i want to move out of my home with my mum and dad, i want to move to my girfriends house with her, her mum and her brother. her mum has allowed this but my mum and dad wont allow me to do so. is there anything they can do if i just chose not to go back home?

I've been thinking of running away. A few weeks ago my friend tried to commit suicide and since then, ive decided to drop all my relationships because i dont want to be hurt, like i was when she did this to herself. On top of that, I am a very strong believer in God, well was.I don't know what to believe anymore, and that just makes the whole situation worse.
