Why Is Cutting So Bad?

i cut, and i dont like it, but it helps. and if it means that i don't have to bring other people down with me, why is it so bad?

the main reason that it is so bad is because it hooks you and then you begin to want to do it every time you feel bad and then the cuts make it worse. And cutting also scars u.

If you cut too deep then you could die or you could get an infection. An infection could travel through your blood stream to your heart.

Cutting may seem okay if it's not hurting anyone else. But other than the risks that epicreader16 pointed out, that are very true, cutting can become an addiction that is difficult to break. It isn't a healthy way to calm down. You need to find what can help you calm down. Maybe it's music or posting or talking or writing. Something that won't leave a scar that you'd want to hide. Be strong. I know you can.
