Juvy..../:

Have you thought of suicide or do you know someone who has....

Juvy..../:

Postby a7734 » Thu Mar 29, 2012 9:59 pm

Okay, so my bestfriend might be going to juvy for bringing prescription meds to school (that weren't hers) & giving some to minors.. I feel super guilty because I haven't really been as close to her as I have been in the past (I switched schools so we dont really hang out) so I feel like she did this to sort of strive for attention... But the guilt is really getting to my head and I feel like bursting down in tears every time I think about the possibility of her going to juvy. I've talked to her family and they said that nothing is set in stone yet. .she's also tried to commit suicide 3 times, and is a cutter.. So I'm also afraid that she'll commit before this whole things over.... If she does goes to juvy, I don't want her innocence to be ruined because she was trying to get attention from me. I Feel like everything is my fault. Help. Please!!!!

Not everything is your fault, silly. It was her choice to bring those meds. The world doesn't revolve around you. If you want some closure, find a way to talk to her and tell her why you are stressed. She may comfort you. Plus, you can comfort her back letting her know you don't want her to die, however awkward that may be. It'll be worth it in the end to know you tried. But not everything is your fault. Things happen, let them be. Go with the flow. You don't control the universe. :)

Love the way you talk, Sail :D

Sail's right. Not everything is your fault. Don't blame this whole ordeal on yourself. If she goes to juvy, well, it was her choice to take that risk. But if you feel like she was hurt by you not paying much attention to her, try apologizing anyway, if only just to relieve some of her stress she's dealing with. Let her know you're there for her no matter what and that you truly care about her as a friend, and if she makes any indications she might commit, tell someone immediately. You aren't betraying her trust; you're protecting her. After that, whatever decision is made about juvy will happen. Don't take any more blame for it.

God bless you both!
