Pressure can really get to a person, and they will look for ways to vent...
You need better ways to deal with these issues....cutting makes it worse and becomes addictive....it gets very hard to stop, even once your mind is clear and you really want to.
Besides talking to people, you gotta get some change in your schedule.
Try putting something active in your day. - The most common activities for clearing ones mind is working-out and listening to music. Good music, not crap about death.
Like you said, the cutting helped get your mind off things...you had the right idea, but the wrong way of doing it - DON'T CUT. There is never a reason to harm yourself...too many people are doing that as it is. Your an amazing person who doesn't deserve it.
Definitely continue talking it out, but also come up with some stuff you like/like doing.
