is it wrong that i like a girl??

so basically i really like this girl but she is like one of my really good friends. Also my (male) best friend also likes her and its his X gf. . . akward!
any ideas / tips cos i got nothing and we both kinda loose it and get all competitive when we are together with her. its like friendship ends within 2m of her!
I kinda get quite upset and i know he does to that we can't look past it but when we aint together my heart hurts!
