Postby jasmin27496 » Mon Mar 12, 2012 12:34 am

Im confused myself so trying to tell you guys is going to be even more confusing...
I have been having heaps of troubles not just at home but at school and i cant handle it anymore, i cant stop thinking about killing myself (i wont though so dont worry)
it is just i cant stop thinking about it. How do i go tell a teacher so i can get myself some help...because i know i need it.
I cant just go up to a teacher and be like oh i feel like killing myself. (even if i do they probably will just say go talk to the coucellor- i dont want to though i would much prefer talking to a teacher)
So what do i do and how do i do it... :( please help i just dont know what to do anymore.

Speaking up about this stuff can be tough but if you have a teacher you are pretty close with or know to be a genuinely caring person, that's the teacher to go for. I garuntee you that they will not turn you away if you explain that you don't feel comfortable telling a counselor. That's what they're there for. They're trained for this sort of thing even though theyre not therapists they can still lend an ear at least and guide you in the right direction. Once you know who you want to go to I'd approach them after class or after school maybe, and tell them that there is something you'd like to discuss with them in private. Set up a time when you can talk to them openly and most importantly, don't over think what you want to say. Just let it come out. You'll feel a whole lot better if you just let everything roll off our tounge. Don't censor yourself to heavily either. Just let it out!!! You got to do it sooner or later so you mig as well just put it all put there.nit may seem scary but remember, teachers are just people! Nothing more. They understand more than we usually think they will. Once you get past the whole student teacher word barrier it's a lot easier to open up. Don't be afraid to tell them whats happening, odds are they may have gone through something similar as a kid.you never know. unfortunately, these kinds of topics, suicides and such, are going to get back to your parents. Teachers are obligated to tell them when they think your in danger of hurting yourself. But this is because they want to help you, not hurt you. You just need to bare in mind that this will be good for you in the long run.
