i think that sometimes, people find it impossible to control the emotions. i find this true when i get too stressed or too upset. i find myself turn off and go onto auto-pilot or something. i feel completely numb. during these times, it doesn't matter the type of emotion [good or bad]. i'm still numb and i still can't control how i feel.

It must be really challenging to have such strong emotions that you feel like you can't control. Do you have any way of relieving the intensity of these emotions, like listening to music or journaling? It's important to remember, though, that these feelings are okay. If they become too intense, you can always try one of the strategies I mentioned before, or any other that you might find to be helpful.

Here at teen line, we're trained to listen to you and help you out with whatever it is you're going through. Our number is 800-TLC-TEEN or 310-855-HOPE

I hope this helps.

hey there.

we all often have our share of mixed-up emotions, but if this occurs more than it should, u should try doing some meditation. write in a journal, or if u aren't hte journaling-type, write it out mentally in your head (i do that sometimes). take a nice hot bath or listen to some soothing music. it also helps to take a walk to clear your mind or talk to someone you trust. if the emotions feel like they are crushing you, get help! it might be something more than just numbing feelings.

good luck!
